Accounting/Billing Specialist

Job Description

Payroll/Billing


Monitor and ensure payments are being made in accordance with the terms of the contract.


Verify that rates billed are in accordance with contractual terms.


Collection and follow up on all outstanding contracts.


Ensure that A/R payments are current and all delinquent accounts are being followed up on in a timely fashion.


Correct any billing issues making any necessary adjustments, while communicating these changes to the contract and filing appeals when necessary.


Correct system issues pertaining to billing, patients and or caregivers as directed by management.


 


 


Requirements


 


Computer proficiency including data entry o Ability to organize, self-motive and work independently o Ability to problem solve with an attention to detail o Strong verbal and written communication skills o Must possess good interpersonal skills and superior customer service skills to interact effectively with service offices o Integrity and Confidentiality are qualities required for this position o Billing experience in a health care business office setting is preferred





Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
